The Women’s Ministry has been an entity of Antioch Baptist Church since 1924. It is an instrument that focuses on women’s issues and to edify the Word of God.

The purpose of this Ministry is to empower the women of the church to grow into spiritual maturity, to unite in fellowship, and to assist in the work of the church.

The goals of the Women’s Ministry are:
  • to glorify God in praise and worship;
  • to teach and train the younger women;
  • to encourage women to become involved in caring and serving to strengthen their personal and spiritual lives;
  • to motivate and encourage women to establish a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;
  • to provide education, training, and other activities that are relevant to women’s issues, that is, physical, social, emotional, spiritual; and
  • to motivate women to become active in Bible study, church school, and other church activities to build up their spiritual and personal life.
The objective of the Women’s Ministry is to get the women of the church to develop a personal relationship with God and to become a spiritual woman who can freely proclaim the Word of God through their daily walk. The Ministry has conducted workshops, seminars, counseling sessions, prayer breakfasts, and other fellowships to address women’s issues and lift up the name of Jesus. The Ministry also financially assisted single parents whose children are entering their first year of college.

The following are elected offices in the Women Ministry:
